Hi, I'm Amulya ☁️
I’m a product designer based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, currently pursuing my Master’s in Information with a focus in UX Design and Research at the University of Michigan.
I believe thoughtful design can untangle messy systems and make technology feel a little more human.
I did my undergrad in Computer and Communication Engineering and started out as a web developer at NeuralSpace. Somewhere between debugging scripts and building interfaces, I realized what excited me most wasn’t just making things work, it was making them work for people. That curiosity pulled me toward UX, and I gradually transitioned into a self-taught
UX designer at NeuralSpace, where I spent the next two years blending my technical background with a growing passion for design, behavior, and storytelling.
🎯My Core Values
Some things I try to stick to, no matter what I’m working on:
Design with empathy
Good design starts with understanding people and what they need, feel, and go through.Stay curious
I try to ask a lot of questions. It helps me learn, unlearn, and see problems from new angles.Keep it honest
Whether it’s design or collaboration, I care about being clear, thoughtful, and real.

The theme was Anti-Algorithm, a reflection on how data-driven “optimization” shapes so much of our lives.
We, Team Spaghetti 🍝 asked: What if we gave up control? What if we made space for randomness, surprise, and human connection again?
That’s how CTRL Z was born. An app where you don’t plan your day, real people do. Based on a few preferences and boundaries, strangers create a one-day adventure for you. You show up not knowing what’s next… and come back with stories. Maybe you danced. Maybe you pet a goat. That’s the point. It’s about letting go of the scroll, stepping outside the algorithm, and rediscovering joy.
🎶 Outside Design
Outside of design, I’m a self-taught singer and music has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve been performing since I was four, and I also led the music club of my university during my undergrad. Singing is my go-to way to unplug, express, and connect.
